South Jersey Vacation Bible Schools - Summer 2019
Every summer, churches all over New Jersey hold Vacation Bible School (VBS) for local children. VBS is a mini-camp with lots of singing, games, crafts, and a biblical focus. Think Sunday School meets Summer Camp, but for free.
The event usually lasts for a few days and as a #southjerseymom of three girls, I am grateful for the break! You really can't beat an opportunity for your kids to make new friends and break the cycle of boredom that can come in the summer. Most VBS programs are fun, cheap or free and are staffed by gracious volunteers. You don't need to be a church member to attend, as churches desire to provide this service to the community.
In addition to other South Jersey events, I know my girls will have a blast this summer at different VBS in our neighborhood. Do you have VBS at your local church? Below is a list of South Jersey/Philadelphia churches hosting VBS in 2019. Be sure to go to the website for more details.
Vacation Bible School by Location:
1. Kingsway Church - Cherry Hill, NJ
KidCon Jr is a 3-night event for our kids going into Kindergarten-3rd grade in the Fall. Kids will connect with each other through games and small groups. They will connect with God through large group worship, memory verses and Bible stories. Invite your friends for our amazing encounters with Jesus IN THE WILD.

2.Covenant Presbyterian Church- Cherry Hill, NJ
Join us for Vacation Bible School as we spend the week learning about God’s goodness! Of course, everyone’s favorite VBS stations are back: songs, games, Bible time, Imagination Station, snacks, and more.
Our VBS program is open for all children age 4 through rising sixth grade.* We have morning VBS Monday-Thursday and close with an evening ice cream celebration on Friday evening.

3.First United Methodist Church - Collingswood, NJ
Vacation Bible School 2019 takes your children on a wild adventure—with elephants and egrets, polar bears and penguins, cockatoos and crocodiles. As they seek out exotic animals, they’ll also find snapshots of real-life encounters with Jesus in Scripture. Kids will go from bewildered to believing as they get In The Wild at this summer’s Vacation Bible School at First United Methodist of Collingswood.

During the week of VBS, children will become Voyagers on a journey through space, exploring where God’s power can take them. We’ll uncover fun clues, attempt fascinating challenges, and discover how the events that happened before, during, and after the tower of Babel have impacted the human race today! Grab your gear and prepare to set off on the race of a lifetime! Join us for a fun, FREE week as we dive into God's Word, enjoy delicious snacks, play exciting games, get messy with crafts, and sing our hearts out in worship. VBS is open for children ages 3-12. Preschoolers must be potty trained.
